What was: Day 44 - Kane Basin

Everything is stunningly beautiful. We're way up in the Arctic Cirlce now - about 78 degrees north - and there's ice and huge icebergs everywhere and its cold and windy and sometimes there's big waves and I LOVE it.



We have to wear these huge survival suits to work outside and I pretty much look totally monstrous. The food continues to be completely amazing. We've been working a lot recently, which basically means I don't really sleep...or sleep very odd hours. We work whenever we get to the station, and the stations can often be right after each other, so the schedule is literally totally random.
